Day 1: Arrive - Jammu

Arrive Jammu railway station and transfer to hotel. Afternoon local sightseeing in Jammu. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

Day 2:Jammu - Srinagar

After breakfast drive from Jammu to Srinagar (299 kms. 8 hrs. drive by bus/tata sumo. In srinagar, you will be staying in a “Potamac ” group of houseboats, the nautical version of five star hotel room. Dinner and overnight at houseboat.

Day 3: Srinagar–Local Sightseeing

After morning breakfast a shikara ride on Dal lake visiting Nehru park, Char chinari and boat market. Afternoon visit Moghul Gardens, Shalimar (Abode of Love) built by Jahangir for his beloved queen Nur Jahan in 1616, Nishat (The Garden of Pleasure) built by Asif khan for his sister in 1633, Chashma Shahi (Royal Spring) and Shankarachariya temple. Dinner and overnight at houseboat.

Day 4: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Baltal, 113kms.

After morning breakfast drive to Sonamarg “Meadow of Gold” at an altitude 2740 metres. Lunch at Sonamarg. Drive continue to Baltal which is a base camp for Amarnath yatra. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Day 5:Baltal – Amarnath Cave - Baltal

After early morning breakfast climb to Shri Amarnathji cave (3953m) where you can see Shiv Lingam. During the pilgrimage, the huge crowds can be difficult to put up with but the ascent to the cave and saddhu’s blessings are worth it. From Amarnath cave an easy walk back to Baltal for overnight camp.

Day 6: Baltal – Sonamarg – Srinagar, 113 kms.

After morning breakfast drive towards sonamarg “Meadow of Gold”(2740 m).Continue three hours drive to srinagar. Dinner and overnight at houseboat.

Day 7: Srinagar – Jammu

In the early morning leave srinagar for a jammu (299 kms.8 hrs.drive). Arrive jammu railway station to connect onward destination train.
