Mountain Trekking (11 Nights and 12 Days)

Day 01: Arrive Delhi

Arrive Delhi and transfer to Hotel. Afternoon combined tour of Old and New Delhi. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 02: Delhi - Srinagar

From Delhi fly to Srinagar, the summer capital of Kashmir, city of lakes, palaces and Historical monuments. In Srinagar, you will be staying in deluxe houseboats the nautical version of a 5 star hotel room. After lunch, you commence your sightseeing activities with shikara ride on Nagin Lake (Jewel in Ring). A shikara is a traditional Kashmiri canoe.

Day 3: Moghul Gardens And Old City

A day spent in acquainting yourself with the glorious past of Kashmir. Visit the famous Mogul gardens, Naseem, Shalimar, Nishat and Chashma-i-Shai. Pack Lunch at Gardens. Drive down to old Part of City visiting Shah Hamdan Mosque, Jamai Masjid, Hari Parbat Fort. Historical Bridges, Tomb of Zain-Ul-Abbin and Rose Bal (Tomb of Jesus). Dinner and overnight at Houseboat.

Day 4: Srinagar – Sonamarg – Thajwas Glacier 84 Kms

Leave Srinagar in morning by car for sonamarg “Meadow of Gold” at an altitude of 2740 Meters. Picnic lunch by river. Afternoon pony rides to Thajwas Glacier (3000mtrs). Dinner and overnight in tents at Sonamarg.

Day 5: Sonamarg – Nichnai, 14 Kms.

Steady 5-6 hours ascent through pastures and pine forests into upper alpine landscape, Passing grazing. Sheep and cattle and scattered dwelling. Picnic lunch at Gulunala beside tumbling stream before crossing Nichnai pass (3048m) camp close to stream in open mountain country. Dinner and overnight in tents

Day 6: Nichnai – Vishensar – Krishensar Lake, 15 Kms.

Long easy ascent across Vishensar pass at 4080 meters amid rocky peaks, glaciers and melting snows. Descent into Vishnesar valley with riverbanks and pastures carpeted in blue and yellow hase of wild flowers. Reach campsite by lunch time. Afternoon walk Upto sacred lake of Krishensar (3819 m) to excellent trout fishing in season. Dinner and overnight in tents.

Day 7: Vishensar – Gardar, 16 Kms.

From Vishnesar the track ascends steply to a 3962 meters pass and then descends through a steep valley with hanging glaciers feeding small rivers and lakes. Easy Walking and lots of wild flowers. Camp at Gardsar 3108 meters.

Day 8: Gardsar – Gangabal 19 Km

Leaving Gadsar and easy ascending upto Poshpatri (The valley of flowers) then a gradual walking upto Megandub, from here steep and difficult trek to Zagibal peak 4180Mtrs. This is the highest and tiring pass on this trek where you can see beautiful view of the Gangabal (3507 Mtrs)lakes and Harmukh (4586mtrs) peak. Dinner and overnight in Tents.

Day 9: Gangabal – Naranag - Srinagar

6-hour trek through forest and final long descent to Naranag village where there is some interesting Budhist temple. Leave by car to Srinagar 2 hours drive. Dinner and overnight at houseboat.

Day 10: Free

Just to relax on the terrace of your houseboat. If you wish you can even visit city. Dinner and overnight at houseboat.

Day 11: Srinagar - Delhi

After breakfast assistance for departure and transfer to Airport for flight to Delhi. On arrival you met transferred to your hotel.

Day 12: Delhi – Onward

Transfer to the international Airport for your onward flight.
